Post-Match Thread and Ratings Kings Lynn Town 0-1 Southend United

Great to win today. The goal will give Dalby a huge boost, Murphy is going to start scoring soon.

Sounds like Phillips and Bridge played well too

How many games last year before we won one? 13/14? I wasn't at the game but this is a very very good win - away, to a team who would ofseen us as some kind of scalp and it will help put a bit of belief into the team.
Good news, everyone! All we need is 0 points from the next 10 games, and we'll still be off to a better start than we had last season.

When were we last 8th? I remember someone used to do a line graph comparing this season with last. I guess he stopped cos we were flatlining

As i said its important to get the season off to a good start .And a one nil win away is the start the team needed .The linnets keeper kept the score line down . We now seem to have a strong defence and midfield .So with that in mind our top two will score a hat full this season .

On another day that sounded as if it could have 1-3/2-5..............but it wasn't another day and in the end was rather too close for my comfort. Their ten men came soooo near to getting an equaliser at the end...............whether it would have been deserved is another matter. Anyway, a win is a win, is a win! Lots of positives, Phillips and Bridge were sinalled out for special praise by the commentators and Arnold seemed to do OK apart from his kicking, which appeared to get more and more wayward as the second-half progressed. As I said our strikers would buried a few more on another day and it's so good to have something which resembles a 'strike force!' Credit also goes to their keeper who made a number of good saves. Sounded as though our subs were a little late in being made as a couple of our players seemed as though they were tiring badly.
Stockport will provide an interesting and a, theoretically, more difficult game next Saturday. I don't think their result today will make it any easier, they will have been really stung by that home defeat.
