Just can't see why he would entertain this. He has turned Chesterfield into genuine promotion contenders and surely he'd want to see it through?

Also the scenes from Saturday will be very fresh in his memory and it was surely enough to make any prospective manager think twice.

Surely Chesterfield will just tell us to **** off?

I would.
Very true. If he were interested and they did that would he then resign and hope to come to us? Would they then get compo. All ifs and buts but if true and if he wants to come lets approach.

Did Stan say on the zoom all the managers he had spoken to would be interested (wa she one of them i do not know). He also said in a statement those he called Monday (after he, Tom and Gary had sat down on SUnday) were happy to be on the shortlist. So who knows if Rowe is or isnt and if he is or isnt interested, but Chesterfield must surely be thinking what do we do here if this is true

Thats my take too.

Maybe the dream of FF etc etc

Ipswich born, prolific midfield goal scorer at canvey. Also played for Heybridge so almost a local lad!

Sorry lads but youve got more chance getting Jurgen Klopp than James Rowe. Recently signed a new deal with us…******* a load in the transfer market. Settled with a new baby in Chesterfield. We are a club on the up and the exact same size so that wouldn’t be a factor either. Wouldn’t even entertain this ridiculous ’rumour’…all it is is a no e story for clicks by the media.

As much as I’m struggling to believe the James Rowe links.. surely we wouldn’t even waste our time contacting Chesterfield unless we’ve been told of some interest from James Rowe himself right?

I make you right to be fair.

Probably right, not sure its a rumour that we have asked to talk to him though, odd lie to make up.

Maybe he went to see Ron after the game and that is why RM did not attend?
(That kind of speculation is always fun!)

Interesting the article on the Mail suggests we, "a bigger budget at Southend", when Chesterfield had the funds to sign a Striker for £250,000 in the summer! It's not like Chesterfield are a small, non-league team punching above their weight they're a similar size club to us.

Might not be one of Stans.

He said Tom and Ron had their own lists too.
