Jaden Crowhurst, Oli Coker Henry Sandat and Collin Andeng Ndi would have been amongst the leading candidates to go out on loan but find themselves in the first team match day squad but the likes of Luke Reeve and Louis Arrowsmith are some way away from making the squad and I think would benefit from competitive football. Tommy Davis is probably only an injury from a call up to the bench but he and Benton might also benefit from a short loan spell. Then there are Sandat’s fellow second years - any news on potential loan spells for them?

I am surprised that like of Concord Rangers & Braintree, Billericay, Canvey & Bowers etc haven’t snapped them up on loan.

Tommy Davis is out on loan - Havant & Waterlooville.
Close. Hampton & Richmond, also in NL S.

He made his debut 3rd Sept in a 2-1 defeat at Slough. His manager described him as excellent though when trying to take the positives.

Their next match wasn’t until 13th Sept when he helped thme to a clean sheet in a 1-0 win v Chippenham.
He was then in the side as they progressed in the FA Cup with a 2-0 win at Bognor Regis and a second consecutive clean sheet.

Loanee watch is back.

National League South

Jaden Crowhurst made his debut for Tonbridge alongside former teammate Lewis Gard as they won at Cheshunt 4-3. Crowhurst was booked on 52 minutes but a minute later set up their third with a “super” assist. Anthony Wordsworth played the first half for Cheshunt and former youngster Kian Flanagan was on the bench for them.

Tommy Davis’ Hampton & Richmond lost 2-1 at Dartford.

Tommy Davis won an 8th minute penalty for Hampton & Richmond, which was the only goal of the game as they won at Hungerford. The result leaves Hungerford in 22nd on 5 points whilst Hampton move up to 17th and are on 11 points. They’ve now had 3 clean sheets in their last 4 having not had a clean sheet before Davis joined.

Jaden Crowhurst was subbed on the hour for Tonbridge in their 1-0 defeat Hemel.

Isthmian North
Louie Arrowsmith made his debut for Tilly’s Heybridge against the interestingly named New Salamis. They conceded an early goal which Heybridge thought was offside. New Salamis doubled their lead on 15 minutes. Heybridge pulled one back early second half before levelling on 65 minutes direct from a corner. The 2-2 draw means Heybridge remain 8th and above their hosts on goal difference.

FA Cup
Hampton & Richmond’s FA Cup tie against Paulton Rovers was delayed due to traffic. Once it got underway Tommy Davis was in the side. Hampton took a two goal lead before a penalty just before half-time put Paulton back in the game. In the second half they restored their two goal lead before Tommy Davis was booked for a mistimed challenge a couple of minutes after a Paulton player had been booked for a late challenge on him. They later added a further three (one a penalty) to run out 6-1 winners and put their name in the hat for Monday’s draw when could be drawn against us.

Tonbridge played a friendly after having been knocked out of the cup. 4 trialists started with Jaden Crowhurst on the bench.

With Luke Reeve out on loan that now means all three third year scholars are out on loan.

The fourth player out on loan is first year pro Tommy Davis. Fellow first year pro Oli Coker could be one of the candidates to be next out. A regular on the bench the opening month of the season, now injuries have receded I’d expect the club to be looking for a National League South club for him, having played in the Isthmian Prem last year, although I wouldn’t rule out a return to the Isthmian Prem all together.

Other loanee candidates would include Jon Benton, who had a hugely successful loan spell in the Isthmian North last year but has had a solitary sub appearance and hasn’t made a bench since Maidenhead; Jack Wood, who signed from 7th tier Kings Langley and has made just one bench appearance this season. A National League South club would seem ideal for both.

Second year scholars might also be heading out on loan to the Isthmian North in the coming months. Henry Sandat who scored a hat trick in Friday’s FA Youth Cup might head this list. He’s also appeared on the first team bench this season during an injury crisis. Patrick Droney, keeper Fin Purcell and midfielder Mo Amir are amongst other potential candidates to go out later this year.

NL South

Jayden Crowhurst played in Tonbridge’s 2-2 draw at home to Oxford City. Tonbridge fell behind against the run of play to Oxford’s first attack on 26 minutes. Oxford doubled their lead from a corner in first half injury time but Tonbridge fought back to score twice early on in the second half to claim a share of the points. There were 14 minutes of second half injury time

Tommy Davis was at the heart of the Hampton & Richmond defence in their home draw to Welling. They fell behind after a tangle of legs in the area half way through the first half but equalised with a second half penalty of their own. The Welling manager was red carded following a kerfuffle late on over a throw.

FA Trophy
Louie Arrowsmith helped Tilly’s Heybridge into the first round proper of the Trophy. He was booked on 47 minutes. They scored a goal each half to ease past Potters Bar.

Isthmian North
Luke Reeve played in Tilbury’s 2-0 defeat at Lowestoft.

Louie Arrowsmith played the 90 minutes as Heybridge Swifts beat Gorleston 1-0. The only goal was scored on 54 minutes. Heybridge move into the play-off spots with the win.
