Echo News Southend United address wages issue and urge fans to buy season cards

The cheek of it. It's our fault, is it ? The current season hasn't even finished yet.

Anyway, how do we know if the early bird discount is worth doing, if they haven't told us how much the normal match day price will be ?

Don't tell me...next week there will be an early bird offer for the 24/25 season in order to pay the staffs April wages ?

So we are using next season’s season tickets sales to fund this season wow! I would expect season tickets sales would fund the period from June (when planning for new season starts) through to next May, not be paying off costs from December/March this season.

So of all the talk of protests and asking people to have sit ins, march the streets, sing Ron Matin out and make banners - what we have is the ultimate protest, not organised via social media but a good old fashioned “I’ve had enough so not paying for the product anymore”…who knew huh?

Why is everyone displaying faux surprise at the use of the season card dosh? We know Ron is skint, we know he wants to sell up and we know that Tom Lawrence is struggling to keep the club afloat given the severe lack of cash flow. Demanding that Ron finds, and puts more money into the club is more than pretty naive as he can't get any more. So the club is a charity basket case and is relying on hand-outs. I don't like any of that, and I get why some are loathe to renew, but I want my Club to exist next season, not the Chairman, therefore I'll do whatever I can to help achieve that aim.

Will you streak on the pitch tomorrow for a fiver? All adds up to the funds!!

Who is the club spokesman and does he/she really believe the utter bollocks they are told to spout on a regular basis? What a poisoness job that is.

So, maybe people are voting with their feet. We've hardly had a great time over the last few years. I was in sales, and one of the best salesmen I ever met had a maxim, "make it easy for people to buy".
So when I can sit in the comfort of my own home, go on line, and renew my season ticket, then I will.
I can buy a car online, I can buy a rail ticket online, I can renew my RHS subscription online, and when I can renew my season ticket online I will.
