What are you having for lunch? (rolling thread)

2 fat ( can i still say that? ) saveloys from Byford's Butcher's, grilled & scoffed in 1 1/2 sarnies ( 3 slices of bread ). Very tasty.
From Wikipedia:

Popular in the North East of England, saveloys are sometimes eaten in a "Saveloy Dip" sandwich: the bun is dipped in the water which the saveloy is boiled in or in gravy, with a layer of stuffing and pease pudding, additionally seasoned with English mustard.[3] In the rest of England it is most commonly eaten from fish and chip shops.

I would ditch the stuffing myself but this sounds great.

3 rashers of thick smoked bacon from Byford's Butcher's, in toasted sarnie.
You know it's 'proper' bacon, as not covered in white blobs of water whilst grilling!.

Half price carvery at Toby was nice dinner for under a fiver

How many sheets of meat did that include?
I got standard plate and had a large slice of turkey plus 2 smaller slices of gammon and 2 smaller of beef.Veg was nice and decent roast potatoes Yorkshire pudding etc.Good for the price
