Latest Rumours SUFC up for sale

From what I know of Kimura Capital, which isn't much, but I have seen pitch books from them, theyre not hedge fund managers.

They into supply chain financing - very much not hedge funds.

Maybe there's a different division doing other hedge fund stuff - like the eSports - but as far as I know not Kimura capital

Commodity Trade finance is about as far removed from running a football club as you could get!

For those asking, Kimura Capital LLP specialise in lending monies to commodity producers (such as food stuffs, oil, coffee, zinc to name a few) where they don't have access to other areas of finance.

On the other side, Kimura Capital LLP has a number of investors. For an investor to come on to Kimura's books, assuming they pass Kimura's diligence checks on them, then the minimum investment is $100,000.

The investors money is then available to be loaned to the commodity producers as and when required.

If a loan goes ahead, Kimura get a set % fee of the amount of the loan. Investors get a smaller % than Kimura. Loans tend to be made for 6-9 months.

Hope this helps a little!!

Question if Ron is deep in talks with this group What is the agents he is paying for doing in this deal .Are they dealing with the sale Or is ron going it alone .

It says they are in talks.

All relevant parties will be involved.

That doesn't fill me with much confidence. I don't have much faith Ron will be able to see it through.
Ron has had to reduce the stadium capacity from 21k to 16k due to financial constraints. That tells me the stadium is being financed at the profit margin on the whole development. The money available for building the stadium is ultimately linked to the price of housing. That's a big risk in the current interest rate environment.

As has been said on here many times - it's the hope that kills you. Therefore trying not to get too excited, but it's difficult. Really hope that the players who might think about leaving will not want to miss out on what could be an amazing opportunity- even bigger crowds, being paid and a story similar to Wrexham.

Much as I resent Wrexham's success when we are struggling, their model has opened the door for clubs like ours to be more attractive to investors with the possibility of celebrity involvement. It also makes it easier for me to explain who I support to Amercians who only know 5 English teams. 'You know Wrexham? We finished 8th in that league.'

I could have sworn that Wrexham is in Wales.

I might be alone but there is a small part of me that can't get excited. Obviously the saviour of our club is no 1 above all else but the mention of a Wet Spam supporter being involved and all the different opinions on this supposed consortium and how they made their money stops me jumping up and down with joy.

Let's hope all anybody buying SUFC is interested in is the wellbeing and future of our fantastic club and not looking over their shoulder at other teams results or how they can use us to fund some other diverse project🤞

Winstone is a tiny part of the larger company in talks to take over.

I'm sure if you had a dig around and looked into your:Favourite musicians, Favourite flim stars, Favourite TV stars , Favourite authors ,Your friends at work etc, you'd find you disagree with them on some level be it politically, socially etc

Don't get hung up on the football team one person in the chain supports.

Does the fact the person who reads out the names at roots Hall is a West ham fan make any difference to your support of the club?

Life is short and something nice might be about to happen to our little club.

Let the light in.

*West Ham are a bunch of no mark ****houses though*

yeah I'd add to that - how many of our players, mgmt team etc support Southend. Stan would probably say he's Villa first.

I still can’t believe people are still ****ing whinging about someone potentially coming in who supports another team. If we only had players and staff etc who owned us we would be a laughing stock. Plus there is nothing to say that winstone will have much say if any with us anyway. Grow up

For years it’s been “anyone but Ron, anyone but Ron”.

Now we have a West Ham fan attached to a consortium, people are questioning it?

Get to ****. Just be happy that change is happening. I’d rather see Ray Winstone parading around the pitch before the first KO of the new season, completely decked out in claret and blue, rather than see Martin slithering into his seat in the Directors Box.
