Memory Lane Games where that one opposition player destroyed us

Every week ? lol. Good question ! I'll have a think. Thought Conn-Clarke was very good from Altringham last week, mind

The name escapes me, but I recall a striker for Mansfield scoring 3 or 4 against us at the Hall around the mid/late 00’s. Played an absolute blinder that day and we couldn’t lay a glove on him

David Lee, a winger for Bury in late 80s/ early 90s was outstanding. Jordan Clark when he came to the Hall with Accrington more recently was also heads and shoulders above everyone.

Rickie Lambert for Bristol Rovers put 4 past us once.

But the one I’ll always remember is Ben Foster’s goalkeeping performance for Wrexham in the LDV Final. Felt like we could’ve played all day and wouldn’t have beaten him, he was that good. So good in fact that Sir Alex signed him for United on the back of that performance after being there to watch his son managing Wrexham in the final. How’s our luck eh?
