Summer time

  1. Sale completed.

  2. All creditors settled.

  3. A clear plan and rousing speech provided by COSU.

  4. A top marketing campaign on season cards, aiming for big numbers.

  5. A few attacking high end NL signings to compliment the squad. McCallum/Haughton.

  6. RH given a spruce up - Toilets/Bars/Catering. Fanzone. NW corner opened up.

  7. New training ground operational.

  8. Club shop sorted and fully stocked.

  9. Plenty of content to get the fanbase pumped for a new era.

  10. A big "Ding dong the Rat is gone" party at RH for the first game. Welcoming the whole community back/building bridges/repairing relationships with disillusioned fans/local businesses.
No onions?

Will the fans getting roots hall ready be an annual thing.
I quite liked it tbh plus I've done it two years on the trot now may as well lol
I think this is such a good point. Rather than it being a 'chore' or something that 'had to be done', it should be something that is embraced. It's what creates that 'community' club. It's something Ron refused to accept for years, as he was too idle and stubborn to receive help, particularly from fans, and something he didn't want because he didn't want to 'waste time' on Roots Hall. For years, fans offered help and expertise, often for free, and he still wouldn't take it.

I think fans take pride in knowing they contributed to their club and not just in the usual monetary way. Hard work and graft galvanises an ethos of togetherness.

Whatever you think of the Cowley's, they did that remarkably well at Lincoln and that contributed greatly to the club and towns success. I honestly think we can replicate that once the takeover happens.

Seen quite a bit on a Facebook lately of local graffiti artists doing walls and they look fantastic would be good to see some of the plain white walls put to good use!
I totally agree. Some won't like to admit it, but the one at Billericay is really good.

We could make this look so cool and so meaningful. The messages on the dressing room white board could be put on it etc.

I'd like this to be employed on the Ron logo emblazoned properties on Vic Avenue!

What point is there in replacing seats in the East when that is the one stand we know is going to be demolished? I know those wooden seats are old, but that just makes no business sense - you're talking thousands and thousands of pounds for something that is planned to be very, very temporary.

Agreed. Nothing would give me greater pleasure to see those **** slogans "Be part of it" etc removed. Problem is I think he owns those properties and will do so even after the sale of RH goes through.

I think Mr Tamplin must have purchased a job lot of spray cans and went a bit too far with them. Lions in the dressing room and managers office? Sharks in the tunnel?

Some tasteful spray graffiti might look good, but I wouldn't go to the same lengths as Billericay Town.

Yeah we might be stuck with all that nonsense on those buildings for a while. It's a huge embarrassment .. of course I'd never endorse anyone doing an overnight paint job on them!

No of course not. But a tasteful mural created by local artists that depict our club and community spirit would certainly be something to consider.

Hopefully it is a condition of the sale, that all club logo's/artwork are removed from the properties on Vic Ave. As he is hopefully soon no longer "owner" surely COSU can enforce it under Copyright/Trademark law.
