Official Match Thread Accrington Stanley v Southend United

Not too worried at this stage what the teams immediately above us are doing, we just need to worry about ourselves & start winning games. If we do that, we’ll close the gap.

I can’t see us holding on, as we’re not retaining any possession at all. Every time we win the ball back we carelessly chuck it forward and give it away. The midfield is seriously struggling.

Kelman is down... it could just be a bit of cramp having come back into the starting XI today. The 18-year-old is trudging over to the sidelines and Blues are readying a change.

Sam Barratt on.

IF we do win Sol should go mental, do a bit of fist pumping, run on the pitch over to the 233 and shake the hand of each and every one of them. That would be a top bit of PR but, more than that, show everyone including his team that spirit is everything. The boost to morale from that simple action would be priceless.

We can’t blame injuries on fitness any more, but it seems we still lose one or two to injury every game. I know we’re not very good but Christ we have no luck. If it’s true luck evens out over time then we’re due an awful lot of it soon.

This is so very painful to listen to and so close to the three points. Come on you Blues.
