I am surprised he only made 15 appearances for us between the 1st July 1968 and 1st July 1969
 
I believe that the last game Lawrie played at Roots Hall was Tony Bentleys second testimonial v Stoke City in 1972 .

Lawrie Leslie played in the following matches, his debut was in the 6-1 win at Bournemouth in the League Cup, followed up by Halifax Town(H)won 2-1; Notts County(A)2-2; Darlington(H)1-1; Lincoln City(A)lost 2-1; Newport County(A)lost 4-1; Wolves(A)lost 1-0 in the league cup. Lawrie then missed the next home match against Wrexham in a 1-0 win played a couple of days later being replaced by Trevor Roberts. He then returned in the following match against Swansea(A)2-2; Aldershot(A)lost 2-1; Workington(H)won 1-0; Grimsby Town(A)0-0. The following match was played on October 5th. 1968 at London Road Peterborough when Lawrie broke his arm and was replaced by John McKinven(not sure or can't remember who then went in goal). Lawrie Leslie returned to 1st.team action on April 5th. 1969 some 6 months later playing in the next 3 matches against Grimsby Town(H)lost 1-0; Aldershot(H)won 4-2 with his final match being against Bradford Park Avenue(A)won 3-0. Amazingly his final 3 matches were played on Saturday 5th.April, Monday 7th.April (Easter Monday) and finally Tuesday 8th.April with an afternoon kick-off.
