So it's down the A127/A13 for our closest away game of the season, and last season's nemesis The Daggers.

Most of us will remember that they turned us over three times last season - twice in the league and also in the FA Trophy scoring eight goals without reply. Surely the time has come for some revenge!

Overall the record between the two clubs is still in our favour (7-5 on wins with 4 draws) and hopefully we’ll be a lose to stretch out lead against Daryl McMahon’s side who currently sit one place and one point above us in the league.

They had an indifferent start to the season but have been buoyed by 3 wins in the last 4 games, including an impressive 3-2 win at Chesterfield on Tuesday night.

In contrast to blues, whose first twelve games have featured just 21 goals in total (11 for and 10 against), the Daggers’ games have been goal-fests seeing fifty goals (22 for and 28 against), so who knows what the TV cameras will see on Saturday, the Daggers are probably due their first boring 0-0 draw of the season!

Kev has not been one to making sweeping changes - except when injuries force his hand - so it is likely to probably be a largely unchanged side on Saturday lunchtime. If Nathan Ralph has recovered from his latest injury, that could change things although it would be harsh to drop Jack Bridge after his last two performances at left wing-back. Marcus Dackers will probably be making his last appearance for us on loan up front and the rest of the team will probably pick itself although the case could perhaps be made for Powell, Wreh, Lomas, Fonguck and Nna Noukeu to come into the starting line up.

So who would you choose to start at Victoria Road and what do you predict the result will be?

I'm told tickets are selling well despite it being on the TV. The problem is the trains with various rumours about strikes and engineering works.

The Police have decided to have the mounted section in attendance. That was before Tuesday nights game by the way.

These aren't rumours, all the service alterations have already been confirmed.

If you're on the Southend Victoria line then there will be 2 trains to Liverpool Street an hour, with the last train leaving Romford at 5pm (so don't stick around too long after the match).

If you're on the C2C line then it's a similar story, with the last train leaving Barking at 5.20.

The only other thing to note is that the following stations are out of action on Saturday (the rest of the line is fine), so you'll need to get a bus replacement if you're at one of these stations:
  • Pitsea
  • Basildon
  • Laindon
  • West Horndon
  • Upminster

I am going to be attending this also, my away record this season is 2 draws and a win.
And, imo, Gus v Weston, Kacper v Morais will be key duels paramount to keeping a clean sheet.
At the other end of the pitch I expect Dackers and Hyde to start again.
The choices for KM are who is LWB and who is to play with/behind front two?
Are Murphy or Taylor "bench fit"?
Who is showing hunger in training?
Will young Jack Wood realise he needs to start pulling up some saplings?
Is Blonde bonding with the squad?
Have Daggers got onions?
Do we play in Yellow, Pink or Blue?

Pitsea's not really out of action. You can still get a direct train to Barking from there on Saturday. It's getting back that would be the concern though.

Not unless all seats are sold, don’t think they plan to open it this time.

Morais was unplayable in that 0-4 home defeat. One of those performances where you wonder why he's spent most of his career at this level. Inconsistent I guess..
