It could be worse. We could be Grimsby.

Now, we thought it was bad here. This taken, complete with gratutious swearing, from a Grimsby forum think almost sums up the feeling in our little corner of Essex..... but not quite ;) Now I'm as optimistic as anyone when it comes to this **** of a football club, but after this...

    A few points

    1) I am no less gutted than anyone about the situation we are, but really there is no need for everybody on the forum to throw their toys out the pram and moan at each other, its not going to help is it. 2) Why do people even debate about Ron Martin. As far as I am concerned, he could be the...

    What would YOU have done

So its all Rons fault. 1)Bearing in mind staying at RH isnt financially viable for the long term survival of the Club. 2) To take control he had to buy out Delancey, which would have cost a tidy sum. 3) He hasn't got enough money so saying pump more money in isn't a sensible argument I still...

Season Ticket direct debit scheme out of action

Just to let anyone know who's thinking of going to RH to renew seaon tickets...if you want to renew your season ticket(s) and pay by direct debit via installments the club cannot do this until Monday as there is a fault (but not at the club's end, apparently) in the system.

    Our job as Fans

Between now and the end of the season is absolutely crucial. The blame game stops NOW! Stop blaming Tilly and his tactics. Stop blaming Christophe. Stop blaming Moussa. Stop blaming Macca. Just stop! This is all Ron's fault. The players started to perform, a great comeback against Carlisle...

    SUFC Autobiographies???

With our stunning progress on the pitch of late, surely many of our players will be looking to follow the likes of Rooney and Owen by cashing-in with tell-all dossiers. Perhaps the Zoners might like to suggest a couple of titles to help them in their new careers... Here's a few to get us...

    The Dream is over

The Dream is over I am afraid. We are now heading back to the bottom basement of the FL and there is blame to dish out.Having supported this club for over 40 years we are back where maybe some will say we belong but I feel we do not. This time around it was different we were led to believe...

Time For Chelsea To Grow Up

WHAT’S GONE WRONG AT CHELSEA? For six years, Chelsea have been a relentless winning machine, but that arrogant sense of superiority has faded away. In its place is hesitancy, vulnerability and a worrying inability to dictate the flow of games. Chelsea are dropping points so frequently that...

It's All My Fault. And I am Sorry.

This all my fault. For Xmas my other half brought me a retro Southend shirt. So, I stopped wearing the other one (blue n white stripes) and moved into the nice new fabric of plain dark blue. Very comfy it is too. I've worn it at every game I've been to since, which is all the home one and...
  10. Chelsea Recieve Nul Points, Again

Apparently, Carlo Ancelotti’s mother never warned him that if he pulled a funny face and the wind blew, it would stay that way. Ancelotti pulled the same expression of futile, emotionless pondering for 94 miserable minutes as Chelsea, yet again, faultered in Europe. Much had been made of...

    Your fault Martin, not Brushes!

Ron Martin singlehandedly ruins a team well capable of staying in this league and then dismisses a bloke whom with Tilly has done us proud over the last few years. How has he got the cheek to use the freshening up cobblers when the main man is still here. Scared stiff to out Tilly so goes for a...

Its time to voice/show our opinion

Now i have always beleived in Ron martin and do genuinely think he has the best interests of the club at heart. I think he was a business man who saw an opportunity to make a few pounds aquiring a football club and relocating it. Somewhere along the line he found out what supporting a football...

    Not the players fault

Kind of a rally cry, but given the stories surfacing again about wages - and the way the players have been treated and lied too (it seems to me anyway) - then I'm as of now wiping the slate clean with all players!!! I certainly dont like some of the players in our current XI and believe some of...
  14. Ref Watch ..... Swindon

Man in charge of Saturday's crucial (aren't they all now?) match is Police Officer David Phillips from Chichester, West Sussex refereeing in his second season. This will be his third Southend game and his second Southend home game; his only previous Southend home match being the match against...

    Tilsons Comments

Text from the club: " I couldn't fault our lads, they really did give me everything. it was just one of those games where we just did not get the rub of the green" WHAT A LOAD OF ****ING BULL **** SERIOUSLY!!! 1. Could not fault our lads - BULLCRAP - we were dire no interest from the team 2...

Just Another Afternoon At The Match

Today was a rare opportunity for me. With local non-league football and my lad's training wiped out by waterlogged conditions, resulting in the radio show I would have been doing to cover it all also biting the dust, popping along to the Hall became an unexpectedly pleasant compensation...

    City's Glaring Vie-error

When Kenny Dalglish ruled the roost at Anfield, Liverpool were the dominant force in English football. He maintained their superiority during his tenure with a very simple transfer philosophy, and it's something that Manchester City would do well to emulate. 'Always be sure to sign better...

    PS3 Slimline Fault

All, i bought a PS3 Slimline 02/09/2009 & i have honestly barely used it since. However since Monday it appears to have developed a fault when being used as a games console. When on, the machine will switch it self of at random from anything between 1 minute & 20 minutes. I dont think...

  20. Postmen and women

Just watching the Panorama programme and is strikes me that I honestly cannot fault the excellent job postmen/women do. I have never had anything go missing and I buy a load of stuff online. I know there are at least one or two posties here on Shrimperzone. Cheers for a great service lads -...
