    Machete Attack in Leytonstone

This does not sound good..Stabbings at a station in London. Apparently the offender shouted 'This is for Syria' http://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/624571/machete-attack-Leytonstone-Syria

    Memory Lane Tony Bentley

For all fans of a certain age it was great to see our former player Tony Bentley at Roots Hall yesterday. Now 76 Tony was playing when I first stated going to Roots Hall in the early sixties. He signed for Blues in May 1961 from Stoke City and went on to play over 400 league & cup matches before...

Memory Lane Those 5* Away Performances

After last night, thought we could round-up all those away matches where we scored 5 or more. I'll start with my personal favourite, a 5-3 win at Burnley in 1982. An amazing match, considering Burnley got promoted that season. It was a Tuesday night game in April, after the original match had...

  8. Kevin Nolan

When he parted company with the Hamsters a week or so ago I did wonder if he would consider dropping down to League 1 (Bolton connections with PB possibly?) - he's currently training with Leyton Orient....

Jack Payne of Peterborough signs for Leyton Orient

Okay, so I'll move this to the League 2 Forum in a short while and beat myself with a stick for my immaturity, devilishness and moderator-double-standardness... but Sky Sports News are reporting that Leyton Orient have signed Jack Payne from Peterborough. Linky Dink Transfer deadline madness.

Post-Match Thread and Ratings Coventry City vs Southend United

Well at least we scored. Sounds like a cracking game and a draw is a decent result especially with yet another penalty save from Bentley.

Daniel Bentley - Will he or won't he?

The transfer window shuts on Tuesday, September 1, at 6pm - a day later than you might expect, as the Monday is a Bank Holiday and the window has to close on a working day. Will Daniel go in this window or not, and who do you think will bid for him??

    The Squad

It's looking good, we've strengthened by bringing in as permanent signings McLaughlin and Pigott from Championship clubs, a Championship defender (Rea) on a 6 month loan plus O'Neill who is absolute quality, a very experienced striker in Noel Hunt, plus experienced L1 players in Mooney and...

Does the pyramid system change much?

The pyramid system certainly makes football more exciting and gives non-league clubs hope of the Football League dream. HOWEVER, it changes very little. Non league clubs remain non league style clubs playing in the Football League..in general. Look at the lowest attendances in League 2 last...

    Questions - Walsall

Why did Worral not start? Why did Timlin not start? Why was Mooney taken off so soon (I assume an injury but nothing apparent) Does Weston like pizza? He certainly enjoys slices. What will happen to the Daniel Bentley money? That's all a bit heavy for a Sunday morning - but then again so is...
  17. PB more signing

post match PB stated will need 2-3 more signings. not sure all clubs want more but at the mo squad looks q good, obviously if Bentley goes they can spend a bit, otherwise poss a few loan signings. Thoughts
  18. Daniel Bentley - The Ongoing Transfer Saga

Bumped into Daniel l night in my local asda store (SWF) had a chat with him ref transfer. He stated it was all down to the club if he stays or goes. I thanked for taking the time to talk to me, he is a nice guy, not big headed etc. I wish him the best of luck for his footballing future
  19. The Bentley fund, what would you want it spent on?

If we get the 1.5 mill we are holding for, I don't think its unreasonable for 500k of that to be invested back into the team to give us a good L1 squad & hold our own up there. Not sure Ron will part with more than 200k if im honest though..... Where do people think the cash is gonna go?

    Goals 2015/16 season

I like a clean sheet mentality and an excellent goalkeeping display can be very exciting but we all know that the real buzz of football is seeing the ball nestling in the old onion bag. Last season the relegated teams in this division averaged 48 goals whilst the mid-table teams (11th to 14th)...
