  1. Question Phil Chisnall's male Friend

I have been asked, via Nobbler, by Phil Chisnall's wife if anyone on the Zone can identify the chap on the left of the photo. Phil and his wife are on the right but Phil's wife would like to know who the other man is. The photo is thought to have been taken in the Shrimper's Club many years ago.

  4. Ref Watch ......... Luton A

"Little Red Rooster" was top of the pops; Harold Wilson had just become Prime Minister; the first ever Match of the Day (featuring Phil Chisnall) had just been aired on BBC2 which had itself only just started this year; the death penalty was in the throes of being abolished; Nigel Farage had...

Memory Lane Peter Taylor v Phil Chisnall 1:12 - poll added

This one is probably tie of the round a future England player v a Busby babe and both answers to popular trivia questions.

    Phil Chisnall

His name keeps popping up in relation to the Gabriel Heinze potential move from Man Ure to Liverpool - apparently Phil was the only player in modern times to move from MU to Liv and from there he moved to Roots Hall, making 142 appearances for us in the late 60s and early 70s. Isn't it funny...
  7. Hawkwell Blue

    Phil Chisnall

If Gabriel Heinze (not sure of the spelling but then who cares!) leaves Man U for Liverpool he will be the first player to make the move from Man U to the Scousers since our very own Phil Chisnall in the early 1960s. I'll get my anorak.
  8. Firestorm

    Phil Chisnall

In the build up for yesterdays Man U - Liverpool game they were discussing the rivallry between the two teams. An example thay gave was that there has not been a direct transfer between the two clubs for over 40 years. The last player was Phil Chisnall. There then followed an interview with him...

    "big" names

Seeing the silly season is upon us and we are either being linked or speculating about who we would like to see down at the hall. Does anyone have a particular favourite or in fact actually remember anyone who has been any good when they have joined us on the way down from a reasonable career ...
  10. Phil Chisnall

Ex-Shrimper Phil Chisnall features in this month's When Saturday Comes as the last player to be directly transferred between Manchester United and Liverpool (in light of the rumoured move of Steven Gerrard to Old Trafford). For those of the "Where Are They Now?" disposition...
