    Players with positionally apt initials

Is Cian Bolger unique in this regard, or can we think of other Shrimpers whose initials are also their playing positions?
  2. Post-Match Thread and Ratings Macclesfield 0-0 Southend United

A really boring game, don't bother watching the highlights, there aren't any. Morris - 7 - Commanded his box well and wasn't really tested Clohessy - 6.5 - Defended reasonably well and was always a quick outlet. Barker - 6 - Not at his best, gifted Macclesfield a chance where he was caught...
  3. Mohsni's spell as a striker...

I'm going to credit Sturrock with some serious balls in giving Mohsni a run as a striker. I was thinking back to when I first saw him, at Bradford away, he was positionally naive but defended well. The main disappointment was that when attacking corners/free kicks he got into good positions but...
  4. two different perspectives -

A/ its all *****, worse than the old days, Tilly is clueless, the players don't care and I am not going anymore .... B/ we've hit a slight rough patch, RM has a big vision, Tilly is a genius, the players are the best young talent in the league, lets go to Franchise and do the business ...

Post-Match Thread and Ratings Southend United 0-1 Oldham

Abysmal. Absolutely abysmal. That's the only way I can sum that up today. Tilly needs to show some balls sometimes, he really does. We're playing an average, mid table side at home and we set up with such a negative midfield. It's almost like we're playing Chelsea or something. The substitutions...

Mildy will be a weak link this year!

Started off poor as expected without Dorian's protection. Poor positionally, lacks conviction and bottle and very slow getting down. Joyce probably not much better but already the cracks in his game are showing and fancy we would have a few more points already with a proper keeper. Slag me off...
  7. SUFC vs Swindon - Player ratings

tough game and Swindon put up a good fight... we were rubbish in the first half but turn the screw in the 2nd and were good for the win. a lot of improvement in all areas is needed if we want to challenge for promotion but the weather was a leveller and so the 3 points were the main thing today...

    Tonight - Positives and Negatives

Positives :- Tommy Black - MOM The geezer is immense, pace, vision, distribution, awareness, he has the lot and if he doesn't start on Saturday against a former club, Tilly is mad.. Sir Adam - As above, even playing out of postion he was class, he looks to have gained a few extra yards pace...

    Over the Years

Not sure if I can explain this well but over the years what do you think positionally has been the Blues strong point. IE - I think the one thing we have always had is good strikers from the likes of Crown,Angell,Cadette, Collymore so despite how bad the team is I think our strongest position...
