    Our Cheerleaders

My Orient mate at work is understandably very quiet at work today. His only retort about last night was that Orients cheerleaders are so much better than our Southend Utd cheer leaders..... ( pathetic !! ) Now i saw their girls from the 1st leg + thought they looked rather average , but i need...

    Tonight side.

Please dont ask me to elaborate but I have a strong gut feeling that tonights defence might look a bit more familar than some people suspect. Not doing a Naps but trying to put the worriers minds at rest a little. Could be wrong and not saying we will win either. Over and out DtS

    Hackett- Roll of the season

Hackett made an idiot of himself after Moshnis kung fu kick. He had to throw himself over and over on the ground as if shot. He only comes to a rest when he rolls into the feet of his own player. Should have been sent off with Bilel. (very funny though) Watch the roll at 57.12...
  4. CONFIRMED - Timlin suffers a broken leg

sturrock just said on the radio that timlin has suspected broken leg.

    Immigration from Romania and Bulgaria

http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2013/jan/27/uk-immigration-romania-bulgaria-ministers "Romanian or Bulgarian? You won't like it here". Will they though? And should they be discouraged from coming? Since Romania and Bulgaria become full member states of the EU at the end of the year it seems to me...
  6. A very busy fixture list 2 Feb to 2 March

Once the home tie v Orient is slotted in, Blues will be playing twice a week between these dates, a total of 9 games in all. Today's postponement will therefore be a very welcome rest opportunity. And a chance for more recovery time for the many injured in the ranks.
  7. Question No game this weekend - what will talk about next week ?

I understand the benefits of getting our injured players back and resting some others , but I'm sure going to miss my weekend footy fix. Not sure how we're going to fill another whole week with nothing to talk about. Any ideas ? Let me start - what do you think of Smith ?
  8. Hello

Hi, been a supporter since I can remember, although when I was young and naive I supported Westham(mainly being due to brainwashing from relatives originally from east london) as well, however now I am older the last 7 or 8 years I have become a true blue :loyalsupporter: even got my first...

  11. Breaking News Brian Wheeler leaves SUFC

A source close to the club has stated the Commercial man and whipper-up of the crowd on match-day. Brian Wheeler has left the club. A very strange decision as Brian and his wife moved back to England from Cyprus, at the club's insistence, to work full time only a few weeks ago. With the above...

    Drivers

My Dad once told me when I was very young "The main thing to remember when you're old enough to drive is to treat everyone on the road like they are an idiot". I've been driving now for 16 years and I would pass that same advice on to others in a minute. I wanted to vent my ongoing frustration...

    The Original Rude Boy

"It's a bit like what Charlie Watts said about the Stones ... five years playing, twenty years waiting around." Sir Buttz Yoddles spoke wearily as he was in discomfort from a horrific abscess for which he had just started taking analgesic medication. His weariness was not helped by the...

    Coughlan postmatch interview:

Graham Coughlan seemed to allude to the fact that some Southend players dislike playing at Roots Hall. Although he was keen to point out that he doesn't see that as an excuse. I thought the little Roots Hall crowd tonight were extremely restrained in their reactions to what was a gutless...

Players with more than two names to have played for the Shrimpers.

Following on from Jonson Harris-Clarke what others players have he had that are greedy and cant just have two names like the rest of us. I give you Jean Francois Christophe.

    Guide dogs for the Blind.

As a long time supporter of this Charity I recently visited one of the training centres and learnt something that it would be helpful if most people knew. A guide dog will take its owner to a kerb and stop at the kerb until it is told to move forward. Obviously in some cases this means crossing...
  17. Question Britt Assombalonga

Hi guys, I write a blog on Watford (www.inthewolfsmouth.com) and am writing an update on how all of our loanees are doing. Obviously, Britt's had quite a good run of goals, as he had everywhere he's gone on loan, but I was wondering what you all think of him as a player. In his few first team...
