The PL League Boss⭐⭐
Southend United in the second year of their existence played in the Southern League and the South Eastern League, I have reproduced the 12 page programme in full below from Fulham Reserves v Southend United played on the 21st December 1907 . I understand that they came with a coloured loose cover (presumably to protect it from the weather) but these were largely discarded at the time. Their is little mention of Southend in the programme but thought it might be of interest.
Fulham were in the Second Division and their Reserves played in the South Eastern League while it was Southend's first time with players such as Harold Halse and Bob Jack playing. Southend were currently third in the league behind Tottenham and Woolwich Arsenal.
