3 - Beastie Boys "Sabotage" - Uncle Leo v 1 - Peter Gabriel "Sledgehammer" - Crawliano

Eeek.

So, my argument...

Watch both videos, then think, which one has had more of a lasting legacy to the world of music videos? Beasties parodying 70s cop shows is brilliant but Gabriel's video had claymation, animation on a face, dancing chickens, the lot.

Seriously, I'd love to vote for both - but putting things into perspective, Gabriel offered more to the world of the music video than the Beasties did, their video entertained and that definitely is not to be seen as a bad thing.

I remember the first time I saw these videos. Beastie Boys, my reaction was "Ha ha, brilliant!" but Sledgehammer I was in total awe. Sabotage is one of my favourite videos, but Sledgehammer, in my opinion, is one of the best, if not the best, videos ever.

Oh dear. Difficult for me to argue against this one; Sledgehammer is undoubtedly a seminal video. KoB pretty much sums up my thoughts!
