What is the SZ consensus on this one? A massive **** up by our governament? A snub for the Royal family? Usual chicanery from the cheese eating surrender monkeys.

And lastly very much a Franco / American occasion, WTF? We'll forget about the 80,000+ British & Canadian troops shall we?

Take comfort from the fact, that the french know exactly what our forces done on the 6th june, whether they choose to ignore it,is their problem, you can't change history simple.

To be fair the French people do, as ever it's the bloody politicians. Anyone who has visited the cemeteries of Normandy, will see how incredibly well tended and respected are those that died in liberating France. It's a similar scenario if you see the cemeteries of those that died in the carnage of WWI and in particular the Menin Gate.
