So here we are the infamous 96/97 custard splat season. The quality all round rapidly deteriorates, from the football to the production of the VHS. Gone is the old commentary by Geoff Clark and everything just feels more budget...you kinda wonder why they even produced this...and why in hell did I buy it.
Things to look out for....well there is a 5-2 victory over Bolton with a great goal by Nielsen, bizarrely some end of the season interviews, including Vic Jobson (RIP), Keith Dublin (Who I think was POTS, says it all really), Simon Royce ( who you get to see flip off the floor everytime he concedes, which is a lot) and Ronnie Whelan who in todays game would have been long gone before the end of the season.

Well anyway, enjoy...actually not sure that's the right word.

I couldn't believe Whelan and some of our Players were laughing over our Relegation in the post Season Interviews!

I think this thread should be made sticky so that the next time someone says how bad we are doing / how bad the manager is, this can be used as a decent reference point.

That said though, 97/98 made 96/97 look like a promotion season...
