our Italian and South American friends.Chile did not seem to be that bad.
I still remember the Intercontinental club games(Europe champs v Sth American champs)
1967 Celtic v Racing club Argentina and 1968 Manchester Utd v Estudiantes
As Sir Alf said "animals" after Englands 1966 win v Argentina
 
Quite a bit of diving and making a meal of it - thought that was a trait of the modern game
