Still time to join the prediction league

The first session of this season’s Prediction League reaches its climax tomorrow night and a new one starts next Saturday, so if you haven’t been predicting so far why not have a go for the coming campaign?

All you have to do is post your six predicted scores, naming your most fancied as a wildcard for double points and name who you think the Southend scorer will be on the Prediction League forum or at the following link:

We notice many unregistered guests looking at the PL, why not register and have a go, frankly the Prediction League has been more interesting than some of the football at times. This is the current Situation;

MAIN PREDICTION LEAGUE
55 Zoners have taken part and after twelve sets of fixtures the title would appear to be between thenobster, Dick Bates Protégé and The Eternal Optimist but also at the end of this session the League will be split, the first 24 going into the first Division the remainder into the second division. So for this coming session there will be promotion, relegation and play offs.
All new predictors will be entered into the second Division but if your good enough you could be promoted by Christmas.

PREDICTION CUP
52 Zoners entered the knock out cup competition, where the same predictions count for League and Cup the final last Saturday ended in a draw between Tinks and Ldnfatso with the replay tomorrow night, penalty "style" shoot out if required. All existing or new predictors will be entered in this coming Cup competition IF they predict for this Saturdays fixtures

SOUTHEND PREDICTION LEAGUE
This extracts the predictions for just Southends result and first scorer. Thenobster seems to have this sown up with a four point lead but it is possible to gain eight points tomorrow so nothing Is certain. All predictors existing or new will be entered in the coming Southend PL with no Divisions,

ROOTS HALL “HOME” COMPETION
The three highest scorers for each stand are in effect “capped” and represent their Stand in a League competition. The East Stand lead the way with two straight wins and only need a point against the West Stand tomorrow night to win the title, but if they slip up the West Stand or the South Stands could catch them on points. Next session the highest scoring predictors will be selected whatever division they compete in.

All this is in fun, not to be taken too seriously but why not have a go?

Yep thats all, except if your new if can just add what stand, East, North, South or West you want to be included under for the Roots Hall Home Competion.

It was a night of high drama last night, not only at Roots Hall but in the SZ Prediction league.

Prediction League - Joy for 13 point Dick Bates Protégé who ran away with the title, but disappointment for those who will be in Division Two next year, but they have the chance to soon bounce back.

Prediction League Cup - The epic tie between Ldnfatso and Tinks was finally settled with Ldnfatso coming out the winner

Southend PL - Thenobster had nothing to worry about winning the title, as most of us poor predictor thought the shrimpers would win

Roots Hall "Home" Championship - In form West Stand beat the East Stand to finish top of the group.

Well you can join at any time (just post your predictions anytime before kick-off time), but this is start of a new "prediction season" and you will start on level pegging with everyone else.

ALSO IF YOU PREDICT TODAY YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED IN THE KNOCKOUT CUP COMPETITION

Everyone who posted their predictions for today will automatically go in the Cup, first round being drawn tomorrow afternoon, ties to be played next Friday and Saturday.

For anyone who did NOT predict you can still enter the cup up to 2.00 pm tomorrow afternoon by either:

(A) sending me a pm
(B) replying to this thread
(C) posting your predictions for next weekend

You can join the prediction league at any time by just posting your predictions but the longer you leave it the harder it will be to catch up.
