David Jack - one of three players to have played for Southend who have held the British transfer record.

Peter Silvester , never

Only memories I have of him, is when he scored the last minute winner v Cardiff in 4th Rd F.A.Cup 76, which gave us our first visit to Derby in the 5th Rd.
And when he scored all 4 goals in a 4-0 home win over Brighton ( same season? ), but we were still relegated.

Great player but joined us on what I would consider was the way down having been at Reading and Norwich before - however, he was not one of those who was along for the ride and I recall always put a shift in.

Others similar to him would for me by The Goat and Lee Bradbury who were coming to the end but were great professionals.

Wasnt that Stuart Parker that scored the last minute goal ? I looked at his wiki entry to see if it mentioned it. It doesn't but I think from his listing I think we can say he was a journeyman player...

I dont call 24 goals in a season past his best playing for a team that was relegated , I am sure that if he had not fallen out with manager Dave Smith he would of gone on to score a lot more goals for us .
