Homegrown talent 10 (the club should be using the national apprenticeship model across all roles in the club - i expect that Southend probably isnt paying in to the levy now the paybill has dropped (only for employers with annual paybill over £3m), but its possible to sort out transfers from large employers or fund the small contribution with government funding 95%. It represents good value and could lower both club running costs and academy costs if the club dont do this at the moment. Maybe the club could put the chairman though a senior leaders programme ?
