Hi not sure if this is the right place for something like this but has anyone been caught speeding on the a13 around pitsea?

A friend of mine was caught recently through the roadworks. The sections either side of the underpass towards Pitsea and going the other way towards the A127 are both still 50 for quite a distance even though there's nothing there to warrant that limit so people mostly ignore it. The police recently caught around 900 people speeding in that section from what he told me.

Yeah I got caught doing 76 right up by pitsea. It’s ridiculous that over a mile after the roadworks the limit hasn’t increased and there are very few signs to indicate it is still 50.

But 76 is speeding regardless in that area?

Yeah I know I was under the impression that seeing as though the roadworks were around a mile back though and there are no cones and very few speed signs that it had ended and was therefore back to 70

But 76 is still speeding if it was a 70? I'm just confused to the point you are trying to make?

Agreed the distance that it stays 50 seems a tad excessive to say the least.

The A127, the A13 and others like the A12, going 70mph speed limit, then 50 then 70 then 50 then 70. It's catching so many out. Bit of a cash cow if you ask me.

78 would be classed as speeding as they need to allow for a 10% tolerance! But maybe that's an urban myth...
