...we've only scored 1 penalty all season (against Oxford). I don't remember us missing any, so have we only been awarded 1 all season?

Or is my memory rubbish?

Barry scored against Fleetwood at home, and missed one against chesterfield in the fa cup?

Indeed. Football365 haven't marked his second against Fleetwood as a penalty. Not sure about the FA Cup one though...I wasn't there.

However, does that mean we've only been awarded 2 penalties in the league this season (so far)? That seems very low.

We've hardly had any. Me and a few mates were talking about this a few weeks ago down the pub. At the time we could only think of Barry's miss in the cup against Chesterfield and his one vs Fleetwood. 2 in the league this season, not many at all.

We don't seem to get much luck in that department, but I'm sure there are other factors at play. The lack of pace probably has had something to do with it, and we don't have many who can beat a man and draw a foul.

..then Loza comes along with some pace and bingo we get a pen.

Perhaps we should change our name to Liverpool , they seem to get 2 or 3 pens per game !

We've had 3 penalties awarded this season. Barry Corr scored vs Fleetwood, Barry Corr missed vs Chesterfield, Lee Barnard Scored vs Oxford. The Eastwood one was last season vs Barnet at home i believe.

Our lack of penalty awards is because we don't have anyone surging into the box on a quick run nor do we play any quick short passing in an opponent's box which provoke fouls leading to pens. Perhaps now with a bit more pace in the side we may get some more awarded?
