Post-Match Thread and Ratings Accrington Stanley 1-2 Southend United

Not quite sure why the Accrington fans are so worried about their team's performance.

They should have gone in at half time with a commanding lead and my view was that we got better in the 2nd half and came up to their standard.

Let's not think that we (Southend United) are somehow "back" - we won but we still need to improve significantly if we are to get anything from the next few games.

Some more draws may allow us to continue "unbeaten" but we need the 3 points from winning if there is any hope of closing the gap to Tranmere and Milton Keynes.

interesting that Philips cannot see the contrast in the team before and after Campbells arrival -

I think its fairly obvious

Indeed to anyone who bothers looking for it- over the last 6 games we are 12th in the form table!!
