ADSL/fax compatabilty help needed

I am having problems sharing the ADSL line (BT Broadband) with my fax machine. I seem to be able to send fax's ok but people often have problems sending them to me. It used to be a rare problem but is becoming more frequent.

The sender is disconnected and receives an error message. I have changed the microfilter and this doesn't help.

I have completed a Google search and it does appear that there is a compatability problem with ADSL/fax machines sharing the same line.

Does anyone know whether there is a problem with the HP Office Jet 7110? I am using a Vigor 2600 router.

Also does anyone know of a web resource for checking fax machines that are/are not compatible with ADSL.

Many thanks for any assistance that can be offered.
