(a) let's be honest both shoots hardly stung their keepers hands.(a) We do shoot from outside area
(B). for their 1st goal Where was the defender (Gubbins?) who closed down the crosser when he went into the 6yd box to head in the knock back?
(A) Agree - but I think there's been comments on threads around lack of shots from outside of box and players being coached not to shoot - I think that's nonsense. We do shoot from outside the box but we're not particularly good at it.(a) let's be honest both shoots hardly stung their keepers hands.
(b) I agree he should have come back but he shouldn't have been out there in the first place that should be Ralph's job.
You’d think we’d practice it, much like set pieces .. this has been a weakness of ours for ages.We do shoot from outside the box but we're not particularly good at it.

Yeah I think we're on the same page as to what gubbins was doing (or not doing) and yes none of the other defenders saw the danger either.Watch again - Gubbins went out to close the crosser down - didn’t get anywhere near him and had his back to the play. The crosser could see what was going on and sprinted into the six yard box whilst Gubbins had turned and was trailing yards behind him.
Watch Ralph and Morton just standing doing nothing letting play go on around them. Maybe one of them should have been aware of the danger.
We shoot from outside of the area but have no one who can strike a ball cleanly along the ground with venom. And we still don’t like to get in the way and block. Husin got out of the way and Appiah-Forson turned his back on the winner.
Note the speed with which Fylde broke time and again. They seemed fitter and faster than our lads.
In Nick Haughton they have a confident and effective striker with an excellent scoring record for Fylde. Look at his career stats though and you will see that he scored few goals for his many other clubs. He has played for Fylde for six years and has presumably stayed at the club because they recognise his value and have paid and treated him accordingly.
which is hardly surprising given the embargo, disrupted preseason, losing 6 players in a week to various things and having to get people up to speed in league matches which keep coming Saturday/TuesdayNote the speed with which Fylde broke time and again. They seemed fitter and faster than our lads.
Yet we had two of those conditions last year with only 12 players and it didn't seem to effect the players then.which is hardly surprising given the embargo, disrupted preseason, losing 6 players in a week to various things and having to get people up to speed in league matches which keep coming Saturday/Tuesday
We’ve signed Bonne, Moncur, Walker and Pepple from higher leagues where they weren’t starting regularly and we wonder why they aren’t match fit/struggling to play week in week out.which is hardly surprising given the embargo, disrupted preseason, losing 6 players in a week to various things and having to get people up to speed in league matches which keep coming Saturday/Tuesday
only so many times you can go to the wellYet we had two of those conditions last year with only 12 players and it didn't seem to effect the players then.
plus we were so lucky with injuries last season. if we'd lost 6 in a week like this season we wouldn't have had 11Yet we had two of those conditions last year with only 12 players and it didn't seem to effect the players then.
