A much improved performance from the Blues after the abysmal showing against Port Vale, spearheaded by a Top Player performance on his competitive debut by Bilel Mohsni. The 6'3" defender was a rock at the back despite a slip leading to Wolves' penalty. His performance has also put him straight to #1 in the season ratings after 1 game.

Should Mohsni now start against Bradford?
After Barker's "Most Improved" performance from the Port Vale game, should he partner Mohsni?

Cheers Pringle.

Mohsni has to one of the first on the teamsheet in my opinion. Seen him a few times now and he has impressed every time. He is a bit rough around the edges and maybe his enthusiasm needs to be controlled a little at times. But other than that, he has the ability to be a very, very good defender, playing at a much higher level. Could be worth a few bob to us in a couple of seasons...

Just seen the highlights from the Wolves game and what a super goal we scored. Nice one touch football and a peach of a cross from Simpson, which was tucked away nicely by Skippy. This is exactly what has been missing in the League games thus far. Crisp passing (on the deck) and decent deliveries from wide positions, for the strikers to put away. This has only happened in the cup games, why is that? Two goals v Bristol and the One v Wolves, all coming from super crosses from out wide. Yet in the League the two goals we have got, have come from set pieces, both of them pretty lucky to be honest.

Morris looked like maybe he could of done better with Wolves winner, but that would be harsh on the lad who has kept us off the bottom of League Two in my opinion.

All in all, much much better. Now we would all like to see this "cup form" transferred over to the League games where it really matters. Starting tomorrow at Bradford. No less than a point will do. Over to you boys....

I have to admit I've only see Moshni for that 35 minutes against the Sham, but his natural ability on the ball, to me, could be wasted in defence. I've no qualms playing him there because of his height and, in this league, it's a vital ingredient of any defence, but I see him as something of a Marouane Fellaini. His passing range and comfort with the ball at his feet seem to be within check, so if Prosser and Phillips form a solid partnership come November, playing Moshni in the hole could be another option, freeing Simpson/Easton/Grant further up the field.

That's a good theory. From what i saw of him against sham, i remember him taking it round a few players when he was in the right back berth. Strong, confident and good passing.

:Worthy::Worthy: This really is tremendous stuff Pringlejon, well done

Which is why an experienced head like Barker (or Coughlan in pre-season), could be his ideal defensive partner. I'd like this to be the case come friday.
