I'd be interested to know many times since he left us the people saying Peterborough have wasted their money have actually seen him play? He was highly rated at Lincoln, a team that made the League 2 playoffs this year, and Peterborough weren't the only club interested. Is it not possible 25 year Alex Woodyard might have improved a bit compared to the 20 year old that we released 5 years ago?
Shhhh, we're not allowed to think rationally on here.

Totally agree mate. Watched him in the playoffs and was very impressed. One of those players I imagine you notice more when he’s not in the team rather than when he is. Very tidy, composed, sets the tempo and a point one of the commentators made, “you can tell a good player when he always seems to have plenty time and space around him”. He’s a great reader of the game and is constantly dropping off and making himself available. Would have loved him back here alongside Dru.

Well done to Woodyard ............. It seems that he has developed well over the last few seasons and worked his way back up the leagues and will be another ex-player that we may well face this season.

He can make a tackle, has some bite, can play a few positions; all okay so far BUT how much does he get paid and how long is left on his Posh contract?
