So Alison Moyet. Southend United through and through. Great voice, so many great songs with Vince Clarke when in Yazoo but the song that means most to Southend fans is

Who knew that Neil Innes was an Essex man?! Born December 9th 1944 in Danbury. The Bonzos have another Essex connection, much closer to home - the late, great Vivian Stanshall lived in Leigh-on-sea during the 1950s, and apparently worked at The Kursaal to raise the funds to get himself to art school where he formed the Bonzos. I've no doubt Moyet will win this one, seeing as everyone here seems to love her, but let's face facts - her legacy is nothing more than a few good pop songs released in the 1980s, she hasn't done anything of worth for 30 years. Whereas the Bonzos were a work of pure genius, one of the most undervalued bands this country has ever produced. There never was, and never will be, anything else quite like them. Best let the YouTube clips speak for themselves...

Hard tie this one, lot of respect for both, but got to go for Alison Moyet as she's a true Blue!

Yellow card DWB. Any more mention of the fact that Moyet supports SUFC will mean a disqualification. Please check my original rules, this about the music.

Ooooo, get you!!! :raspberry: You can't ignore the fact though, and the track "Blue" is wonderful.

Hard one this but I shall plump for the Bonzos as Viv was a SHS boy like me and just been to see Neil Innes last Friday. Sorrry Alison

Do love the way you get quite random and unknown posters vote on these kind of things.....Quantum Mechanic??? Joe Caldwell???

Tell me about it. is Blueblood still lurking then :hilarious:

Bless. I miss him on here , with no Prediction League at all now, it's like we lost both him and Harry :'( At least I do still get a text from Lee every now and then.

If it was on names only one winner. As she is Southend4ever I have voted for Alison.

Tough. Yazoo had a few great singles, Alison solo, not really my cup of tea. Haven't heard much BDDB though.
