All is not lost

Lose tomorrow and we can't be relegated but next week against Rochdale is a must win. Or that could be it.

what are the implications if we go down regarding finances and staff cuts

I did a rough calculation re drop in away fans if we're relegated, as if L1 & L2 finish as they are now, & estimate we'd be £200k worse off. That's including if Orient get back into the League.
Re travelling distances to away games & back, rough estimate is around 400 miles less, so not much difference there.

I hope I'm wrong but we look certain to go down. We have performed like a bottom 6 league 2 side for most of the second half of the season. Some fellow lg1 strugglers have come to roots hall and played us off the park. Think we'll scrape a point from our last 3 games. Please blues prove me wrong.

I really can't see us getting enough to stay up and I have resided to the fact we will be dropping so if we do manage it, then it will be a nice surprise and I hope I am proved wrong.

I agree with a comment I see a few months ago that I would rather be a decent L2 team than a L1 team as we are at the moment.

Don't forget financially we can still potentially earn from cup runs and I am pretty sure there will be a fairly hefty clear out in the squad regardless of where we are.

I'm not sure... it depends on what clauses are in the contracts.

The people who need to be cleared out - basically our midfield - are all contracted for at least another season. If there's no relegation clause then I think we are screwed.

We could then find it a struggle staying in L2 playing the way we are. My hope is that players like Yearwood, McLaughlin, Hyam and Dieng all have a good pre-season.

We have players like Hopper and Barratt to come back but I think I heard Hopper DID have a relegation clause so he may well be off. I may be wrong though - it's not gospel.

Not sure about Oxley, Cox, Lennon or Demitriou. They're the ones we would want to keep.

I think we'd stand a chance keeping Moore if we stayed up, possibly even Hart but can't see them wanting to drop to L2.

At least the kids will be a year older and this year's experience may well have stood them in good stead.

We are not down yet but its looking grim,we need a bit of luck in front of goal tomorrow. We need to get this non winning streak off our back and hopefully it's against Burton.Still think we will need to get something from the Sunderland game not sure if my nerves can take much more

My prediction;

Team PTS GD
Shrewsbury Town 54 -6
Wycombe Wanderers 54 -10
Bristol Rovers 52 -5
Gillingham 52 -15
Accrington Stanley 50 -23
Scunthorpe United 50 -25
Rochdale 50 -34
Plymouth Argyle 49 -19
AFC Wimbledon 48 -24
Southend United 45 -18
Walsall 43 -29
Bradford City 37 -32

I actually don't think there is a huge amount of difference in finances in league 2.

We have hardly been overwhelmed by away supporters this season.

Let's see what happens. Lose tomorrow and it's over. Win and it's game on.

Does my f**king head in how everyone is so negative, I completely understand why previously, but we have some must win games coming up which people have no belief for? We can take points from these games and I believe we will stay up but it will only work with effort and support from us lot. Ffs people give the boys the support they need to the end of the season.

I think I read that Hopper is unlikely to be fit for the beginning of the season, if so I would imagine less likely to get a move.

After the run we have had I applaud anyone who is totally positive. Sorry but with 3 games left as others have said it is very unlikely we will get much and as I said before I really hope I am wrong. I have missed one home game this season and done a fair whip of the away games and it gets a bit hard after all those games to keep your chin up.

I'm drinking what he's drinking.

I'm sure the fans have given support time and time again but the players haven't turned up despite what they say on Twitter. You can cheer yourself hoarse but it wiĺl make **** all difference if the players are already on the beach.

Whatever way you look at it or try to predict the other results we need to win today and win on Saturday.

50 points target, and we can stay up on goal difference. If we win today the game v Dale will potentially be winner stays up, loser goes down...

I really do not want to go to the Sunderland game with us needing a win to stay up, as it ain’t gonna happen.

6 points from the next 2 ! (Oh man! I can’t bear to watch!!)
