That wasn’t even the worse bit. It looks bad but the ball was rarely there on the byline. The other corner was sodden and cut up very easily. Alty were aware of this and avoided trying to twist and turn and made sure they were set when crossing (which they rarely did). We overplayed in the wide areas and frequently slipped. Fair play to the ground staff for getting a game on as it’s been extremely wet up here for the past couple of weeks.

Breathless second half, shows why I prefer watching Alty to supposedly higher level teams. No play acting or trying to fool the ref, just two good teams out to play football.
2-0 was harsh on Southend but two quality moves for the goals justify the three points.
 
Yes still with us but injured and has been called up for international duty anyway so won't be available this week.
