This must be one for the most bizzare footballing stories ever, due to a national team contract dispute the Danish PFA have effectively gone on strike until it's sorted. The PFA has said they are willing to play if the Danish FA temporarily implements the old version of the contract but the FA have refused saying that they either agree to the new terms or they just won't play the match.

The women's side already forfeited a match as a result but UEFA said that if Denmark do it again (men or women) then they'll ban Denmark from European competitions for 4 years, which obviously the FA don't want. With all the PFA on strike though and with the FA refusing to soften their stance the Danish FA has been forced to call up amateur footballers from the 3rd and 4th tiers of their football pyramid, along with some five-a-side futsal players, since they aren't part of the strike.

They'll be playing Slovakia in a friendly tomorrow and then they've got Wales in the Nations League a few days later.

Watching the Slovakia-Denmark game now. Denmark getting everyone behind the ball and working hard but have just conceded what could be the first of many goals.
