Amazing stuff Muzza, that first set especially was a thing of true beauty.

Murray was quite outstanding in beating Djokovic and seems to really have bought into the whole Olympic & Team GB ethic. I hope he goes one better against Federer tomorrow. Before that he has a semi (oo'err missus) with Laura Robson in the mixed doubles this afternoon.

Looking good for the mixed final as well. Out-bleeding-standing!

Edit: I am touch of death :(

Irrelevant pre-USA Open Tournament. He beat Feds and Djoko at The Olympics, I'm sure they'll be a bit more nervous having to face him now.

I wouldn't say irrelevant. It's a Masters tournament, so only one notch down from a major. Admittedly, in the post-Olympic glow it may not have its usual lustre but look at the roll of honour:

No mugs on there (in recent times; can't comment on the quality of the 1917 final!) and Murray and Enqvist are the only winners in the last 20 years not to have a major to their name.

Having said all that, here's hoping that the Olympics win has given Murray the belief - because there's no doubt he has the talent - to finally break that duck next month.

YES MUZZA!!!! Amazing stuff, what an epic match and a brilliant performance.

I had a feeling this thread may have been bumped.

What a match. What a man. Well chuffed for Murray.
