Or was it ? The Echo reports this morning that the Blues were awaiting official documentation to discover weather they had signed another forward on loan.

On a sour note they also say that Granty will be out for 6 to 8 weeks.

Why does it always seem to be such a problem for us......You would have thought it was a fairly simple process.

I know people have said he's not been playing well lately, but this is really bad news. For an area that we seemed to have a surfeit of players in earlier in the season, we are now quite limited in options.

Maybe this is what scuppered the Macca to Millwall deal?

Really gutted, our best midfielder. Looks like he isn't playing that well, but I think it's more that he is doing more than his fair share in midfield.

On a more positive note, Malone looked tidy when he moved to CM against Swindon. We have the option of moving him to CM and playing Herd at LB.

Probably because we pay more attention to SUFC than other clubs. I suspect it happens quite regularly at other clubs aswell. They mentioned on 5Live this morning that another club was waiting on a deal that they had technical difficulties with.

Ive heard its Teddy Sheringham, coming out of retirement, playing for £5 a week and all the onions he can eat.

I'm sure these things go on all the time as Clubs make moves throughout the day causing a domino effect. We signed Scott Vernon, who was Gillingham's top target. They turn to Jamie Cureton and couldn't get him so go for James Walker. That gets him off of our wage bill, freeing up space for a new signing.

If we didn't make the mvoe in time presumably we can try again next week.

ps, if it's Akinbiyi then that would be a ridiculous signing. Good player, no doubt but we don't need another striker. We need creativity in the middle or some ability on the flanks.
