I think i will be travelling down to Birdbrain Road ticketless and on my lonesome tonight, due to illness and half-arsedness from mates! Any City-based Shrimpers fancy a pint before the game? Am open to suggestions on venue!

Distillers in Farringdon at 3, probably one in the Hamilton Hall on the way to Leyton, probably hitting The Birkbeck about half five. If you're going straight from work, then I'd suggest going straight to the latter. Cracking pub.

If you've got the whole stand I believe you'll get the use of the old supporters club bar, which obviously serves booze. But I haven't been in the East for donkeys years, so may well be talking balls.
