An interesting article on BBC Sport re the current major crisis in Argentinian football concerning hooliganism along with certain parallels as to how English football "cured" the problem.

I don't agree though that English hooliganism disappeared when the football public grasped the concept of fanzines. It was surely more to do with the majority of the hardcore guys got into the illegal rave scene and spent most of the late 80s & early 90s loved up in a ploughed field somewhere!
