For those who were in doubt:

Doing 104mph, in a 50, in a densely populated part of London.

His defense? I thought I was only doing '80 in a 50'. And that he had paparazzi on his tail.

He's obviously not too bothered though as he didn't bother going to court.

What's the betting that he gets off scot free?

If there was justice in the world, he'd have bent it round a lamp post.

Well, there is some justice but not a whole heap.

He's been banned from driving. But only for 4 months and has to pay a £1000 fine. Which he wants to delay paying for 21 days obviously as he's a bit hard up.

If that was one of us, and we'd been caught doing that speed and owning up to knowing that we were doing at least 35 mph over the limit, how do you think we'd fare?

Lifetime ban? Community service? Jail?

Anyone find any links to a motorist committing a similar crime and what their respective punishment was?

This country will only function fairly when everyone gets treated the same. No matter how much money you have.

Well, a cursory glance suggests that this is the common financial penalty.

Still, 4 months? Is that it?

How can he need 21 days to pay £1300 fine? He earns well over £100k a week. It's a joke really that they agreed to give him that long.

Apparently the Judge laughed but said fair enough, if he wanted.

He wasn't in court obviously. And his lawyer launched an appeal before even leaving the room.

Bell. End.
