White American cop charged with murder !

This policeman stopped a black guy because his tail light was broken,Black guy after struggling with the cop tries to run away and the cop fired 8 rounds at him,the cop decides to handcuff the dying man.

All the above captured on camera which was handy because the cop stated he feared for his life and acted in self defence,no you executed the guy.

No get out clause?

Why did he try to run over a broken tail light?

No idea, but some of the police over there act as thugs with their badge protecting them from various degrees of violence and indeed murder. This cop has no justification for his actions.

Looking at the footage looks far more cut and dry than previous cases as the guy was running away with his back to the police officer.

I find it astonishing the cop values life so low,the video appears to show the officer after the shooting walk back to where he actually fired pick up his taser and throw it near to the dying guy .

The officer tried to lie his way out of it until this footage was revealed, one pressure group supporting the officer soon removed their page and the cop's lawyer suddenly disowned the case.

My guess is without the footage the officer would of walked to carry on without any care.

Looks cut and dried indeed, but let the man have a trial at least before he's hung out to dry.

Interesting reading the initial reports from this case, wherein police and "witness" statements said he was shot following a scuffle with the officer that involved him reaching for the officer's taser...

Exactly !

They thought the truth would be buried!,Look at the Brown killing which was declared as legit.

This officer will be hung out by his own force,he faces minimum 30 years or the death penalty..either way he is a dead man walking.

Can't be bothered to dig it out again, but there was a cracking piece in the New York Times last week about the US' only maximum security prison located in the Colorado rockies, and how an investigation into its practices found that the long-term isolation prisoners were subject to triggered and exacerbated a large number of serious mental illnesses among inmates. I think the stat was something like 60% of those inside either had developed personality disorders or had their own made worse due to spending 23 hours a day - or more - isolated from others.

Are you sure? I thought there were supermax prisons all over the US.

EDIT. The one you mention is the only federal one. All the others (of which there are scores) are state run.
