The word 'inconsistency' has come up regularly, I've began to wonder if the biggest disparity recently is between playing at home and away.

Our away record since the turn of the year is W2 D1 L6, that includes 5 defeats from the last 6:sad:, most (all?) I believe against teams who were below us in the table at the time, except for Barnsley ironically. In the first half of the season for comparison, we only lost 2 away games out of 12 played. For the first time in years I've started to expect a defeat from every away game (Barnsley being the only happy surprise).

Over the same time our home record has been reasonably good, W4 D2 L2. Under Phil our away record has been consistently good, he's always made us a hard team to beat, what has suddenly changed? If anything our home form has improved since the turn of the year, yet away from home we've suddenly become a soft touch. I'm not sure why but it definitely needs addressing before next season starts.

That central defence pairing of Thompson and Barrett doesn't work for me. When they play together, Thompson gets out jumped, and they also both get pulled all over the place, and beaten for pace.

Its the change in philosophy from nicking a 1-0 and defending a lead to more attacking trying to win. Hope all the moaners are happy. :net::net:
