Swindon Town vs Southend United
7/2/2009

This weekend sees Southend travel to the County Ground to face Swindon Town, With the adverse weather conditions causing havoc there is still a slight doubt as to whether the game will be on or not. Both teams are in need of the points with Southend in 14th and Swindon in 19th in the table.

Swindon’s Top 5 Goal scorers.

Simon Cox - 18
Billy Paynter - 7
Jack Smith - 5
Craig Easton - 2
Barry Corr - 2

Ayrshire Blue’s ones to watch

Simon Cox - Swindon reportedly turned down £500k bid from Huddersfield in January for Cox, 21 years old, 18 goals this season for a team in 19th position in the league is a very impressive return.

Hal Robson - Kanu - A familiar face to Southend fans, having spent two loan spells at Roots Hall, In total made 22 appearances for The Blues scoring 5 goals. Will no doubt be a threat down the left flank tomorrow.

Billy Paynter - Another Ex-Shrimper, Paynter who scored Swindon’s goal in the reverse fixture earlier this season will be looking to get one over on his former side tomorrow.

Apologies to Ricey if i’ve kinda nicked ‘your thing’ but was a bit of a boring evening tonight.

Good effort sir. I have been really busy lately and haven't had a chance to do this. So maybe it would be nice for other people to do them every now and again :)

When I posted it last night I had a feeling it was going to be off.

I really struggled to find a 3rd 'one to watch' So I just put in Paynter as he would of probably scored.
