Despite more snow this week, The game against Tranmere Rovers looks set to go ahead. Southend have had a two week break due the postponements of games against Scunthorpe United and Swindon Town. Southend will be boosted by the return to fitness of striker Francis Laurent who has been out for 5 weeks with an ankle injury.

Ian Moore - Rovers’ top scorer this season with 7 league goals to his name, was sold to Nottingham Forest for £1 million in 1997. Scored when the sides met in November.

Bas Savage - 6’ 3’’ Savage who will offer Tranmere a great threat in the air has scored 5 goals this season. Also scored when we last met. Hopefully we wont be seeing his trademark moonwalk celebration tomorrow.​

Looking ahead we are playing Sat,Tues,Sat for the next 5 weeks this really going to test the squad.We need to be comfortably in mid table by the end of March or its going to be squeaky bum time come the end of the season. Tomorrow I'm going for 2-1 to the mighty blues Freedman scoring both.
