Third Round Replay
Kick-off: 1945 GMT
Referee: TBA
Winners : away to Cardiff or Spurs in the fourth round
Coverage on the BBC Sport website and BBC Radio Five Live

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Martin Devaney is expected to return to Barnsley's starting line-up after suspension because on-loan West Ham winger Kyel Reid is ineligible.

Adam Eckersley is also ineligible while Grant McCann (Cheltenham) and Dwayne Mattis (Bury) are Cup-tied.

Southend will welcome back midfielder Alan McCormack from suspension.

Luke Guttridge is the man destined to make way in the heart of the team, while winger Mitchell Cole is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

BIG-MATCH FACTS
BARNSLEY earned this replay against fellow Championship strugglers Southend, by virtue of a last-minute strike from Michael Coulson at Roots Hall. Mark Gower had given the Shrimpers the lead from close range midway through the second half. The Tykes sit two places and two points higher than Southend in the relegation zone, and have won only one of their last nine fixtures.

The Yorkshire club are aiming to get into the fourth round for the first time since 1998-99, when they made the quarter-finals for the second successive season. They've won the Cup once, in 1912, and have only been paired with and beaten Southend once in the competition (2-1 at home, after drawing 2-2 in Essex in third round in 1938). They took Manchester United to a replay in the next round that year, but United were only a Second Division club in those days.

In 11 games under Simon Davey, Barnsley have won three, drawn three and lost five - but those five defeats coming in the last seven outings.

SOUTHEND UNITED are unbeaten in five. They've won two and drawn three since their last away defeat, which was in extra time to Tottenham in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup at White Hart Lane. They succumbed to a Jermain Defoe goal, having earlier sensationally knocked out Manchester United.

The Essex club have not been beyond the third round of the FA Cup since reaching the last 16 for the fifth time in their history 14 years ago. They've not beaten Barnsley in any competition since a 3-1 home victory at second League level on 7 May 1995. It's their only triumph in 11 matches against the Yorkshire club.

Victory for the Shrimpers could see a return to White Hart Lane in the next round, if Spurs overcome Cardiff in their replay.

SBH Prediction: 0-1 Eastwood

Can't beleive it will be full commentary, even on 5 Live Extra

There are 8 games tonight and two radio stations. I make that a 25% chance.

My guess is they'll cover the Man City v Sheff Wed, and Middlesbrough v Hull. After all, they're the only ones involving premiership teams, and they couldn't possibly ignore them.

Do you mean BBC Radio Essex?
If so, no, as they don't broadcast online because of the contract terms of the Blues World commentary!

I wouldn't have thought Essex Radio care enough about SUFC to even send anybody to cover a game at RH let alone a midweek away game in South Yorkshire!

Hope that helps.... if the link doesn't work try it a couple of times as the webpage doesn't always work first time

3 tries of the link does the trick for me

Hope it helps

BBC Essex

It suggests that you can listen to the game via their website.

Because PTV dont own the rights to FA Cup games, and therefore BBC Essex are allowed to broadcast live commentary over the internet for this game.
