Ok, as requested: a knock-out of the Bond films. I think it's fair to say there's rubbish ones and great ones. And I don't think it's fair that it should be first come first served. So, I'm doing a random draw on all those who want in and you have to fight for your entry.

Deal? Who's in? I need 22 people (23 films, minus me) (I have not included the first Casino Royale, nor Never Say..because they're not official.)

1 Dr. No
2 From Russia with Love
3 Goldfinger
4 Thunderball
5 You Only Live Twice
6 On Her Majesty's Secret Service
7 Diamonds Are Forever
8 Live and Let Die
9 The Man with the Golden Gun
10 The Spy Who Loved Me
11 Moonraker
12 For Your Eyes Only
13 Octopussy
14 A View to a Kill
15 The Living Daylights
16 Licence to Kill
17 GoldenEye
18 Tomorrow Never Dies
19 The World Is Not Enough
20 Die Another Day
21 Casino Royale
22 Quantum of Solace
23 Skyfall

Goldeneye doesn't stand up to repeat viewings. It felt fresh at the time because it was such a change from the dark grittiness of Dalton's Bond but 25 years later it's LTK & TLD which stand up much better than the Brosnan films do IMO. I did a rewatch of all of the Bond films recently and gave up half way through Goldeneye. It was really bad and yet was comfortably the high-point of the Brosnan films.

All of the Bond films are of their time but that's never more the case than those poor, charmless action films we got from 95-2003

Let's hope you don't draw a Brosnan then.

:winking:

Sean Connery was the only Bond ever worth watching.

Shouldn't you start that sentence with "in my opinion"? I realise you see yourself as the almighty but the millions of people who have watched subsequent Bond films probably wouldn't agree. Unless of course they turned up expecting some sort of Connery come back.
