Welcome to quite possibly the best day of the competition so far ...

Porridge (Southminster Shrimper) vs Fawlty Towers (Statski77)

These 2 could've easily expected to reach the semis at least, but one will fall here and now ... its up to you to decide which one !!!!!

I will get the ball rolling. Two comic geniuses in Barker and Cleese. This would make a great final but alas one will fall way short. My vote goes to Fawlty Towers. Cleese at his best.

This really is a tough call....Both great Comedies ...I will have to think awhile on this ..

Fawlty Towers: 12 episodes of perfection. Not sure that's something you can say of Porridge.

Porridge - Ronnie Barker and Fulton Mackay!

And btw, Porridge was only 20 episodes, so not that much in it.

Very tough draw this.

I have high regard for both Cleese and Barker but just find Cleese funnier, think its got something to do with some of the actions he comes out with.

Come on Fawlty!!

tough one but porridge gets it. the 20 episodes were superb and matched by an equally superb film.

A proper clash of the titans here. I've gone for Farty Towels, but would have no complaints if Porridge prevailed.

Fawtly Towers edges it for having more classic laugh out loud moments, ie the car scene when Basil loses it!

Both great programmes though.

Gone for Porridge, but neither are great faves of mine, never got what all the fuss about Fawlty Towers was, sure it's good but it's not THAT good.

Like them both but Porridge is my favourite all time sitcom so theres only one winner for me. Always found Faulty Towers a little too slapstick and in some cases ridiculous although still funny, porridge on the other hand is pure genius.
