Looks like the boy is on his way to Hornchurch! The Urchins are definately going to be a decent side, with them signing Searle as well.

They do good burgers there. He'll love it.

Its a good move for Smith as its local for him rather spending moneys on rent in Hereford & trek over to Essex from Hereford to visit his family. If Newman give him a chance rather than release him, we would have good player for Southend.

As for Searle, he thought his Pro Career was over when signing for Forest Green, but he got another chance to be Pro Player once again.

If that true, its a good move all round for both player.

Garry Hill has so far signed, Ashley Bayes (Goalkeeper) from Woking, Tarkan Mustafa (Defender) from Dagenham, Mark Venus (Defender) from Cambridge, Damon Searle (Midfielder) from Forest Green, Simon Wormull (Midfielder) from Stevenage, Sean Carey (Midfielder) from Chester and Kirk Jackson (Striker) from Yeovil.

As well as the mighty Sheep on their team, i rekon Hornchurch will go far next season
