Given the "uni-sex" nature of many first names these days, perhaps girls first names as players surnames. Joyce and Betsy to start with.

Then we can move on to players who played like girls.

To be very picky here, Francis is actually the male version of the name. The female version is Frances - one of my family is called Frances and the one way to really **** her off is to spell her name in the male fashion. :)
