If I step outside the office I tend to use Leon or Wasabi.

Not cheap but nothing is in Canary Wharf. When I worked on Fleet Street I used Pilpel, a small falafel and humus chain which was fantastic.

Anyone else got any favourites?

We have a Tescos directly opposite the office so I tend to dive in their and get back to the oofice in 10 minutes and resume.

Prêt for a rare treat or even rarer a bus to Manzis

Work next to a Tesco with a cafe, so a ham and cheese panini and chips for a five for me usually.

When I was working in the Wharf, I loved the salt beef sandwich bar in 1 Canada Square (especially in winter) Just the thought of them carving the roast Beef, Turkey or Pork belly in front of me is making me hungry.

I have a meeting in North Greenwich tomorrow, now you've got me thinking about it, i may very well make a 1 tube stop detour.

Birleys?

Never been there myself.

Birleys salt beef sandwich is great - but a little pricey. Like Chicken Teriyaki from Itsu as well - and they do a loyalty card - every 10th(?) hot lunch is free.

Yes it's Birley's.... it's a must try, try and get there early though to beat the lines and get the tenderist cuts, i find if you leave it later to the later end of the Lunch time, it's a little drier (but still damn good though).

Wrap it Up at London Bridge was always a favourite of mine. Especially what with exploiting their website and getting BOGOFS every time you went there, just had to sign up a new email address. I must have a tonne of gmail accounts I used for that.
